Color Coding vs. iContent Usage Right

iClone content includes:

• Trial Content -- (for preview only)
• Licensed iContent -- (full usage rights in iClone for image or video rendering)
• Export-ready iContent -- (ready for exporting to other 3D tools)
• Embeded iContent
• Bonus iContent
• iContent with Export License

When this content is loaded into 3DXchange, the individual file information determine if 3DXchange can export them into iClone or other 3D tools.

By purchasing the iContent License or the Export License, you can convert them to iClone or any other 3D tools respectively.

Color Codes

The presentation methods inside 3DXchange for the contents of the five groups are based on Color Codes including; Black, Magenta and Maroon. You may use these different colors in the Scene Tree or Motion Library to guide you on the status of your content.

In Scene Tree or Motion Library

• If any one of the items including Hair, Head (eyes and teeth), Accessories, CloneCloth (Body Parts), Gloves, Shoes and Materials is applied to an iClone character, or the character itself is trial content, then the character's bone hierarchy in the Scene Tree will have a Magenta color (regardless if the character is an embedded, or bonus content, or if it already has an Export License.)
• If every item attached to an iClone character is without an Export License, then the character's bone hierarchy in the Scene Tree will turn Maroon (regardless of if the character is an embedded, or bonus content, or if it already has an Export License).

iContent Usage Right

iContents Export Status

• Even though 3DXchange can export Trial iContent to iClone, watermarks will appear in the working area as soon as you apply it in iClone. You will not be able to save the project file, nor export the project in any kind of media format.
  
• The Purchased iContent (without Export License), can be freely used in iClone without the added watermarks.
• Purchasing the Export License for the iContent you have bought will turn them to exportable iContent, which means you may then freely export the iContent to either iClone or other 3D tools.
