Using Builder and Controller
By using the Builder and Controller in Avatar Toolkit Vol. 2, you are
able to create puppet-ready accessories.
In this section, a simple example will quickly get you familiar with the Builder
and Controller tools and how they work with each other.
Using Builder - Defining Controller

Attach a prop to a character to turn it into an accessory.

Apply the Builder to the scene.

Click the Accessories button and pick the accessory.

Set the parameters in 1. Controller Type in the Define Controllers page as shown
below:

Click the Root button in the 2. Assign Accessory Root(s).

Activate a box to define the root of the accessory
being puppeteered.

Click the Apply button to return to the Define Controllers page.

Click the Single button in the 3. Assign Node(s) for Controller Handles.

Activate nodes in the page and click the Apply button to return to the Define Controllers page.

Click the Next button to move on to the next page.
Using Builder - Defining Puppet Behavior

Click the number 1 axis button.

Rotate the accessory up.
-
Click the Apply button to save the angle of the accessory to the
axis.

Repeat step 1 to 3 for the rest of the axes.

Click OK button to confirm the data you have defined to the accessory.

Using Controller - Puppeteering Accessories to Generate Animations

Apply the Controller to the scene.

Pick the character or the accessory and then click on the Other
tab.

Click on the Record Clip button.
-
Drag the green dot, and iClone will start to record the puppeteering
animations.

If you are satisfied with the result, then click the Add button
under the Content Manager to save this puppeteer-ready accessory.
