Particle Mode - Blend Modes and Light
The blend methods for each emitted particle can be manually
determined. Every blend mode has its own purpose and you can select the one that is
most suitable for your scene.
The Blend Modes for mesh-based particles in the Particle Mode section are a little different from the ones used for billboard rendering.
Solid Color Lit: The Solid Color Lit mode does not blend with the background but do consider the light and shadow effects on the meshes, which emphasizes the
dimensionality of the mesh-based particles.
Additive: The mesh particle will ignore the light and
shadow effect on itself but blend with the background by adding the Red, Green and Blue values for overlapped pixels of the particle and the background.
