Settings for Cuboid Emitters

The Cuboid shape is the basic shape for emitters. Any emitter with different shapes must be specified either by the particle creator or specified by you in iClone. The settings for cuboid emitters are the transformational data (RTS)and Spread behavior.

Transform Data

The Transform settings can be found in the Emitter Settings section.

• Emit Volume (X/Y/Z): The emit volume determines the size of the cuboid emitter.
  
• Emit Position: You can use the sliders to offset the emitter from the gizmo. The values can range from (-100000.00, -100000.00, -100000.00) to (100000.00, 100000.00, 100000.00).
  
• Direction:

Spread

Rather than a certain direction fro the emitted particles, you can use the Spread and Spread Ratio parameters to determine the sector or the cone shapes for emission. Before settings these two sliders, make sure the values of direction for the emitter are not (0, 0, 0).

• Spread： This parameter will spread the emitted particles from a determined direction to form a sector. The value is from -0.10 to 1.00.
  1. -0.10 ~ 0.00: If the value is negative, then the particles will be omni directionally emitted.
     
  2. 0.00 ~ 1.00: When the value is positive, the angle of the sector will be from 0 to 180.
     
• Spread Ratio: This setting determines the width of the particle cone.
