Mirroring Motion and Zero Root Animation

Motion can be mirrored and locked in place for further inspection in the Check Animation step.

Mirroring Motion

You can mirror the applied motions to check for problems with the character's symmetry or rigging.

Before mirroring the motion.

After mirroring the motion.

Zero Root Animation

Use this option to keep the character in place. This is especially useful for motions that make the character stray from the camera view.

Zero Root Animation = Off

The character's pivot is locked. Root motion is free-floating.

Zero Root Animation = On
The character's motion root is locked.
