Body Rig

Characters imported to 3ds Max from iClone, Character Creator, or ActorCore will not initially have a body rig. Use the Body Rig panel to create either a Biped or CAT rig for your character, making it easy to pose and animate. Body Rig supports three types of character models: CC3+, actorSCAN/BUILD, and Humanoid.

  1. Rig Type: Displays the type of body rig the selected character is using. If “None” is displayed, it means the current character lacks a supported body rig (Biped or CAT).
  2. Create Rig Option: Select one of the two types of body rigs that can only be applied to a bipedal character.
  3. Create Rig: Creates the body rig from the Create Rig Option section, and applies it to the selected character.
  4. Enable Rig: Enables and selects the body rig for the chosen character.
  5. Delete Rig: Deletes the body rig of the selected character.
  6. Body Rig Control Panel: Use the control panel to select different parts of the body rig, making it easy to choose them for posing.
  7. Render: Renders the selected character in the scene with the chosen render engine.
