Applying FFD Motions
FFD effects can be created by either manually setting FFD keys, or by apply FFD motion templates. You can then generate various cartoonized styles with plain animations of objects.
You can find these embedded templates in the Content Manager.
Applying FFD Motions
- Apply a motion to a character or an animation to a prop.
- Browse through the library to search for the FFD motion templates.
- Drag and drop the desired FFD motion template onto the object.
- The FFD motion effect will be applied onto the character's original motion.
- Launch the timeline and show the FFD and Motion tracks.
- Adjust the speed and loop time to fit these two clips.
- Playback to view the result. As you can see the strength of the FFD motion is too strong.
- Right click on the FFD motion clip and choose FFD Clip Intensity from the context menu.
- Adjust the strength of the clip by setting the value in the FFD Intensity panel.
- Compare the animation before and after the FFD Motion clip is applied.
Without FFD Motion
With FFD Motion (Intensity = 0.40)
- If you choose Sample Motion Clip from the context menu, then the FFD Motion will be sampled to keys in the FFD Layer Key track.
- You can then manually change the shape of the FFD lattice.
