Creating Assets with PSD Editor (New for v4.1)
After the PSD editor is assigned, you can start the first PSD project to create various contents such as props, scene, or G3 characters, then animate them in Cartoon Animator. (Watch Video)
Please refer to the sections below for more information on the target object you may want to create.
Assets | Object Type | Description | Design Reference |
Build a Scene in your own style. After the scene is created, you can further adjust the Z-depth of the component parts in this scene, and add transform or deform keys in different time frames to animate the visuals.
Create a Prop of your own. After the prop is created, you can perform Sprite switch animations by adding Sprite elements, apply FFD (Free Form Deformation) or Elastic Motion templates, or design custom motions by using the Prop Key Editor.
Create a custom Free Bone Character from any PSD images. After the character is created, you can control the character by producing a custom pose or a key frame motion in the 2D Motion Key Editor.
Create a Reallusion Standard G3 Character with an official template. After the character is created, you can animate the character immediately by applying all kinds of motion templates embedded in Cartoon Animator. |
1. For the Grouping Rules of a G3 Free Bone Character, please refer to the G3 White Paper for character creation inside the PSD resource pack.
2. In addition to creating assets from starting the PSD projects by launching an image editor,
you can also drag the PSD file to the working area of Cartoon Animator.
If you want to continue editing the PSD file, you can launch it to an image editor at any time.
