Using Vertical Pose Alignment Feature

When a character has a motion or pose applied, applying another pose (*.rlPose) afterwards may involve bone re-alignment. However, by selecting a bone as the base, you can apply any pose without recalculating alignment.

  1. Apply a motion or a pose to the character.
  2. Go to any time frame after the motion/pose.
  3. Make sure the character is selected and open the Edit Motion Layer panel. Select a bone that you want to set as a base.
  4. Apply a desired pose to the character.

As you can see the pose has the bone applied as the base.

Notice that the alignment technique only works on X and Y axises. Z axis is excluded.
  5. If you want to align the pose by the X, Y and Z axises of the selected bone, then activate the Vertical Pose Alignment button.
  6. Apply the same pose again.
