Updating or Creating

In ZBrush, you can edit the meshes transferred from Character Creator. However, when the meshes are to be sent back to Character Creator, updating the original meshes or creating new accessories are determined by the vertex number.

Morphing Meshes in ZBrush

If the vertex number has not changed in ZBrush, then you can either update the original mesh or create a new accessory or cloth.

  • Character-related meshes: The character-related meshes, including the eyes, teeth, nails, and eyelashes can only be Updated.
  • Accessories: The meshes edited in ZBrush can be used to Update the original accessories or to Create new Accessories or Clothes.
  • Clothes: The meshes edited in ZBrush can be used to Update the original clothes or to Create new Accessories or Clothes.

Adding Elements on Meshes in ZBrush

If the vertex number has changed in ZBrush, then you can only create a new accessory or cloth and you are unable to update the original mesh.

  • Character-related meshes: The character-related meshes, including the eyes, teeth, nails and eyelashes can only be Created as Accessories or Clothes. The original meshes will be left untouched.
  • Accessories: The meshes can only be Created as Accessories or Clothes. The original meshes will be left untouched.
  • Clothes: The meshes can only be Created as Accessories or Clothes. The original meshes will be left untouched.
