Layers of Cloth Texture
The fundamental texture of cloth is composed of several layers, they are Input Maps, Fabric, Pattern, Decal and Effect.
These layers also map to the sections in the Modify panel >> Appearance tab >>
Cloth >> Applied Item >> Applied Item.
- Input Maps: This layer contains sections to describe the division of the cloth in order to have more than single material to be applied on the cloth.
- Fabric: This is where each division can be customized with fabric materials.
- Pattern: If you want to have different patterns be applied onto different fabric divisions, then adjust the parameters within this category.
- Decal: To create isolated patch or prints on the entire cloth, use the settings within this category.
- Effect: You can add more effect, such as aging, dirt or holes, onto the entire cloth within this category.
