Front Head Source Photo
Following these guidelines is essential for creating a perfect head mesh. However, source images that do not meet the requirements can be corrected using the built-in AI Image Enhancement feature, which regenerates a source photo that better matches the guidelines.
Formats
For best results in realistic 3D head generation, use a clear and well-lit photo of a full front face, facing directly forward, with no obstruction to the facial features.
Supported image formats include .bmp, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .tif, and .tiff.
.
Lighting
Use images with even lighting across the face. Avoid strong shadows and area highlights.
Facial Expression and Appearance
- No exaggerated expression, teeth remain hidden
- Avoid wearing glasses, spectacles or makeup
- Hairstyles with a fringe covering part of the forehead are supported. Image Mode is capable of generating hidden areas using advanced algorithms; however, for the best results, both eyebrows should be clearly visible.
Cropping
Photos showing the entire head provide the best results. Including the neck is optional and not required.
Hair is generated based on the visible hairstyle in the source image. If you intend to use the generated mesh hair model, ensure the hair is fully visible and not cropped. Improper cropping may affect the final result.
Face Angle
The ideal source image shows the head facing directly forward, without rotation or tilt.
Correcting head orientation before loading the image into Headshot 3 can significantly improve the overall generation quality.
Image Resolution
Image Mode produces a texture with resolutions ranging from 1K to 8K.
Select an appropriate resolution based on the intended use of the character, such as low-resolution background characters or high-resolution characters for close-up rendering.
