Formats
The image used for realistic 3D head generation should be a clear, well lit picture of a full head facing front, with nothing obscuring the facial features. The film format of the image can be .bmp, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .tif or .tiff.
Lighting
Photos with light evenly distributed on the face, without shadow on certain area.
Face
- No exaggerated expression, teeth remain hidden
- Do not wear glasses or spectacles
- Fringe covers part of the forehead is allowed since Auto Mode is capable of generating hidden parts based on machine-learning. To ensure the best result, however, it is highly recommended to have both eyebrows shown clearly on the image.
Cropping
A photo shows the full head is the best for head generating, there is no need to include the neck in the photo. Auto Mode generates a basic hair model according to the hairstyle in the photo. If you would like to utilize the hair model, make sure the hair is shown in the photo as well, without cropping. For more information regarding how cropping can affect the generating result, please refer to the tutorial.
Head Angle
The best head angle for head generating is facing forward without rotating or tilting. Correct the head angle in the photo before loading helps in getting better result out of the generating process in certain aspect.
Image Resolution
Auto Mode produce texture with 1K resolution. Head photos with the long edge resolution around 1024 pixel are ideal for this mode.
