Setting T Pose Direction in Mocap Applications
The world orientation (x, y, z) can vary among different mocap devices. Therefore, it's important to pre-configure the T-pose in the associated mocap application to achieve consistent results.
The facing direction in iClone is -Y.
Below are some of popular mocap applications and how the T-pose should be oriented prior to calibration.
- Vicon: Use the default T-pose orientation for calibration.
- OptiTrack: Have the character face +Z prior to calibration.

- Xsens: Have the character face +X prior to calibration.

- Perception Neuron / Neuron Gloves: Have the character face +Z
prior to calibration.

- Rokoko: Have the character face +Z prior to calibration.
