User Interface Introduction for Realistic Camera Settings

The realistic camera features come in three main sections as show below
.

A

iClone's default settings are now exposed as a group of adjustable attributes.

  • Fit Render Region: The resolution fitting method of the camera ( Horizontal for iClone and Vertical for iClone 6 ).
  • FOV Type: The FOV fitting method of the camera ( Horizontal for iClone and Vertical for iClone 6 ). Adjust this to horizontal when exporting to industry standard 3D software.

B

The new Angle of View setting exposes a critical aspect of camera adjustments.

  • Angle of View: It is formulated from Aperture and Focal Length variables.
  • Focal Length: It is adjusted simultaneously with the Angle of View.

C

  • Film Back: a drop-down list of camera settings. You can customize the default settings by editing: Resource\ICCameraSection\FilmBackSetting.ini

  • Camera Aperture settings can be used to modify the camera body, or more specifically, the photo-sensitive capture plate. Use the radio buttons to the right to switch between units of measure affecting both Width and Height variables.
  • Film Aspect Ratio in the Camera Aperture can be used to change the Width according to the measurement of the Height.
  • Please toggle on Preference > Display > Show Camera Ratio to view the relationship between Aperture and Render Size in the view-port.
