What are Lens Flare Layer types

Lens Flare is actually composed of different billboard layers which constantly face the camera. The individually adjustable layers are divided into four types: light source, reflection, decoration and dust. You can add or delete layers and set the layers to different types.

  • Light Source and Decoration: The layer of this type is moved along with the gizmo usually being taken as the light source. This layer blends only one image of the texture on the viewport.

  • Reflection: The layer of this type produces one or more image effects along the leading line formed by the gizmo (start) and the anchor (end), which is used to simulate the light reflection by the lens within the camera chamber.

  • Dust: The layer of this type fit to the entire viewport and sits still to simulate the dust on the camera lens. The image effect does not move, though, can be partially lighten by the lens flare gizmo.
