Radial Menu Types for Characters

There are 3 types of radial menu for characters.

  • General Status: In MD mode, click the character to show the common radial menu. The menu options include Perform and Mixer motions.

    The maximum number of motions is 10.
  • Actor Mixer Status: The interaction motion triggers are in this level. Click on either one of them to trigger the interaction between the characters and the MD Props.
  • Interacting with MD Props: The radial menu displays the motion categories for the character and the MD Prop.

General Status

There are up to 2 levels of radial menus for characters in this status, including "Page" and "Motion".

  • Page Level: If the MD Prop has set multiple hotkey pages via MD Behavior panel, then this level appears.

    Pages appear when the character is clicked.

  • Motion Level: The perform or mixer motion triggers are in this level, click one of these items on the radial menu to perform motions or enter the Actor Mixer (mixer motion blended to the idle motions) mode. The maximum number of slots for the motions is 10.

    Motion triggers in the radial menu.The radial menu in Actor Mixer has only one level. When a character is directed to execute Mixer motions in general status (as covered in the previous section), no additional submenus are available.

Actor Mixer Status

The radial menu in Actor Mixer has only one level. When a character is directed to execute Mixer motions in general status (as covered in the previous section), no additional submenus are available.

After choose the Mixer command from the radial menu, the sub-mixer radial menu appears.

  1. Leave the Actor Mixer mode and return to general status.
  2. Choose the items to perform the sub-mixer motions.
  3. Exit the radial menu.

Interacting with MD Props

There are up to three levels of radial menu when the character is interacting with MD Props.

  • First level: For toggling the Actor or the MD Prop radial menu.
    • Choose the character to toggle the character's radial menu.
      1. Return to upper level.
      2. Behavior Motions (perform and mixer motions).
      3. Exit the radial menu and return one upper level (same as A).
    • Choose the MD Prop to toggle the prop's radial menu.
      1. Return one level up.
      2. Behavior Motions.
      3. Exit the radial menu and return one upper level (same as A).
  • Second Level: If the character or the prop contains multiple hotkey pages, then this level of menu appears.

  • Third Level: Displays the motion triggers.
    • Character's Radial Menu (with multiple hotkey pages):
      1. Return 2 levels up for toggling character or MD Prop's radial menu.
      2. Return 1 level up for choosing character's hotkey page.
      3. Motion Triggers.
      4. Exit current level (same as B).
    • MD Props' Radial Menu (with multiple hotkey pages):
      1. Return 2 levels up for toggling character or MD Prop's radial menu.
      2. Return 1 level up for choosing MD Prop's hotkey page.
      3. Motion Triggers.
      4. Exits the current level (same as B).
