Creating CC Control Rig - FBX Workflow

Once you've imported a character into Unreal Engine, you can apply a CC control rig to the skeletal mesh to begin creating key-frame animations and layer keys.

  1. Make sure the FBX character has been imported into the Content Browser.
  2. Apply a CC control rig for the skeletal mesh.
      •  To directly create for the CC control rig in the Content Browser:
        1. Select the skeletal mesh.
        2. Right-click on the skeletal mesh and execute the Create CC Control Rig command.
      • To create a CC control rig via the viewport:
        1. Drag and drop the skeletal mesh into the viewport.
        2. Click the Execute CC Control Rig action button on the toolbar.
  3. A new folder named "Rigs" will be created.

    You will find the following items in the "Rigs" folder:
