Bezier Handle Types
Each anchor point forming a path has two Bezier handles. The direction and length of the handles are used to define the curve between anchor points in Cartoon Animator.
Bezier Handle Direction and Length
- Direction: The directions of the Bezier handles affects the orientation of the curves.
- Length: The length of the Bezier handles determine the curvature of the curves.
Bezier Handle Types
The available Bezier handle types in Cartoon Animator are Bezier, linear and smooth.
- Bezier:
The original path shape.
Curvature between two control points in Bezier mode.
- Linear: Curvature between two anchor points are non-existent.
The original path shape.
There is no curvature between the control points in linear mode.
- Smooth:
The original path shape.
Once set to smooth mode, the curvature bows outward.
Setting Bezier Handle Types
There are two ways to set the Bezier handle types. One is to focus on the selected anchor points and the other is to process all anchor points on the path.
- For selected anchor points:
- Select the desired anchor points.

Right-click and choose Bezier, Linear or
Smooth from the context menu.
- Only the
Bezier handles of the selected anchor points are affected.
- Select the desired anchor points.
- For all anchor points on a path:
- Make sure the Path Properties panel is closed and the path is selected.
- Right-click and choose the
Bezier, Linear or Smooth
from the context menu.

- Make sure the Path Properties panel is closed and the path is selected.
