Adjusting Vertices

Having used Conform or Hide Inner Meshes to remove mesh penetration, the problem may occasionally persist as shown in the example below. In this case, you can push and pull the vertices to circumvent the problem.

*It is not recommended to use this function to model geometry, as a 3D tool can be a better choice with more suitable tools.

Adjusting Vertices

  1. Select the object with issues described (in this case, the cloth).
  2. Expand the Modify section under Modify > Attribute and click on the Edit Mesh button.
  3. Switch to the Vertex mode.
  4. Click to select the vertex that is sinking into other surfaces.
  5. Switch to either of the transform tools (in this case, the Move tool).

    You can use shortcut keys to switch to the move (W), rotate (E) and scale (R) tools.
  6. Move to pull out or push in the vertex.
  7. Fix the other issues of the objects by repeating the aforementioned steps.
  8. Leave the Edit Mesh mode.
