Skin Base for Characters
The Skin Base is a layer that constantly sits at the bottom of the layer stack, which gives the character a basic appearance in advance, so that the character is not just a solid white model.

You can find the Skin Base layer in each material when you activate the Skin settings in the Appearance Editor.
The deployment of the materials are as shown in the following illustration:
These UV textures map to the newly designed regions for the CC3+ characters. Refer to the Regions of Character Materials section for more information.
You can adjust these Skin Base layers through the settings in the Appearance Editor.

When you deactivate the Appearance Editor, all the layers will be merged onto the Skin Base and the system will generate texture resources for the texture channels of the corresponding materials in the Material tab.
