Flash Structure

Please open the Dummy_Template.fla with Flash (this .fla file is within the zip file that you downloaded earlier) You will see a view that is similar to the picture below:

The three major parts in Flash are:

  1. Stage
  2. Timeline Tracks
  3. Element Properties (Naming Rules)

Stage

On the stage, you will see the character in 10 different angle profiles. These angles must be replaced later on with your own sprite content when creating a custom character.

Timeline Tracks

In the timeline, you will find 10 main angle tracks. When you expand any of the main angle tracks, you will find the angle name, pivot, pivot base, face folder, and body folder tracks.
In the face folder track, there are 10 facial feature sub-tracks; and in the body folder tracks, there are 16 body sub-tracks.
The illustration below takes the 0 degree as an example to show the result of expanding the tracks related to this degree.

Timeline and Sprites

In the timeline, the sprite of each body part should be placed in the first frame of its corresponding track. Make sure you do not put different and multiple sprites into one frame of a track.
