Settings in Appearance Editor - Foundation, Contour and Highlight

Foundation templates of this type possess settings that are identical to Blush. Refer to the Settings in Appearance Editor - Blush section for more information about the settings.

ClosedLayer Mask

Contains the mask for the entire layer effect.

Refer to the Layer Mask section for more information.

ClosedRange

ClosedTexture Settings

This subsection contains two channels for determine the range for this template effect and for applying custom normal texture.

  • Range Texture
    • This texture is used to define the effect region on the face according to its white and gray parts.

      Highlight

    • Refer to the Settings in Appearance Editor - Blush section for more information about the Range usage for the blush.
  • Custom Normal Texture: You can load custom normal texture to determine the normal effect within the range.
  • Normal Range Type: Activate this checkbox to mask the normal effect with the Range texture.

    The custom normal map covers the entire head.

    After the Normal Range Type is activated.

You can create the smoothness and reflectivity of the foundation.

The settings in this group are used for adjusting the Range texture.

  • Expansion Contrast

    Expansion Contrast = 0.00

    Expansion Contrast = 0.50
  • Expansion

    Expansion = 0.00

  • Blur

    Blur = 0.00

    Blur = 0.50
ClosedNormal

The Normal adjustments are actually not suitable for the foundation makeup, unless you want to create special effects.

  • Strength

    Strength = 1.00

    Strength = 20.00
  • Expansion

    Expansion = 0.00

    Expansion = 1.00
  • Soften

    Soften = 0.50

    Soften = 0.80
  • Flatten Normal

    Flatten Normal = 0.00

    Flatten Normal = 0.40

  • Color and Opacity: These two settings add glowing effect to enhance foundation makeup.

    Color = #808080

    Opacity = 0.00

    Color = #FFFFFF

    Opacity = 0.20

ClosedTransform

The Transform subsection contains settings for transforming the entire foundation.

However, these settings are not suitable for adjusting foundation makeup and it is recommended that you leave these settings untouched.

ClosedNoise

The Noise section contains three subsections with settings for apply noise onto the foundation.

ClosedTexture Settings

There is only one texture channel in this subsection for inserting a custom grayscale image to create bump effect on the foundation. The textures in this section can be edited if you have purchased and installed SkinGen Plugin.

The settings in this group can be used to adjust the range texture for showing the noise.

  • Blur

    Blur = 0.00

  • Expansion

    Expansion = -0.90

ClosedNormal

The settings in this group can be used to adjust the bumpiness of the noise.

  • Invert Normal

    Invert Normal = 0.50

  • Blend: This setting can be taken as the maximum value of the Strength.

ClosedGlow

The settings in this group can add glow to the noise.

  • Color

This section contains settings for transforming the Pattern texture.

  • Scale
