Leveling the Virtual Floor Direction

During the Preview or Recording process, you may occasionally find that the virtual floor in iClone does not seem to properly align to the horizon, which can cause the character to move as if its on slanted ground, float in the air, or sink underground. This is most likely because the Sensor has inadequately detected the real floor's location.

Use the Floor Adjustment feature provided in the Device Mocap Plug-in - Xbox One, and get someone to assist you in leveling the virtual floor direction.

  1. Follow the standard workflow or use the Body Command to switch on the Preview mode.
  2. Sometimes the character might move in a slanted direction, or occasionally float in the air.
  3. Click the button on the top of the Device Mocap Plug-in - Xbox One panel.
  4. You will see the panel with three adjusting sliders on it.
  5. Move around and have your assistant gradually modify the floor adjustment settings by observing the status of the character, and drag the corresponding sliders.

    Front-Back Rotation = -15.

    Left-Right Rotation = 25.

    Height = -30

  6. Once you have obtained the ideal settings for your floor adjustment levels, then you may start to record your motions.

    Adjust the Front-Back Rotation slider.

    Adjust the Left-Right Rotation slider.

    Adjust the Height slider.
