ZBrush Face Tools Update Panel
The Update to Character Creator dialog box facilitates the update process for the base model, expressions, and facial wrinkles within Character Creator (CC). You can find links to each of these settings below.
Base Model
- Base Update: Activate this option to enable updates for your base model when transferring from ZBrush to CC.
- Base Mesh: Updates your base model's SDiv 1 mesh structure in CC.
- Polypaint > Diffuse: Converts the polypaint information from your ZBrush base model into the diffuse map in CC.
- Details > Normal: Converts the mesh displacement on your ZBrush model into the normal map in CC.
- Cavity > Blend: Activating this option will allow Face Tools to automatically generate a cavity map for your base model.
- Texture Size: The size and resolution settings for the texture maps of the base model.
- Facial Parts: This enables you to select which part of your head model you want to update to CC.

- Update to Character Creator / Cancel: Options to update your Zbrush model to CC or cancel and return back to ZBrush.
Facial Expressions & Wrinkles
- Update Expressions / Wrinkles: Activating this lets you update your character’s facial wrinkles, expressions, and texture map settings.
- Expression Morphs: Updates the expression morphs from ZBrush to CC.
- Wrinkle > Normal: Updates the Zbrush mesh displacement wrinkle details into the wrinkle normal maps in CC.
- Wrinkle > Diffuse: Converts the ZBrush wrinkle polypaint information into CC3+ wrinkle diffuse maps.
- Generalized Wrinkles: Individualize and Generalize texture map settings for the wrinkle diffuse and wrinkle normal maps.
- Wrinkle Resolution: Resolution settings for your wrinkle texture maps in CC.
- Selection setting: Toggle selection on all the 13 expressions for your character.
- 13 Expressions: 13 different facial expressions for you to select and update to CC.
