CC3 Appearance Editor

  • Show clothing and accessories in skin editor mode: This checkbox determines the visibility of the clothing when you are in the Appearance Editor mode.
  • Warn when memory is low: Activate this checkbox is you want the system to warn you when the memory is lower than a certain percentage. This percentage can be set by the Target memory allocation drop-down list.
  • Enable DDS (DirectDraw Surface) cache: Activate this checkbox to speed up SkinGen loading time.
  • Cache Folder: Manually specify a certain folder for storing the cache file.
  • Clear Cache: Click this button to clear the cache.

CC1 Appearance Editor

Performance

  • Maximize video memory usage (>2GB):
    If you want the viewport to render textures with the assistance of video memory, then activate this box to accelerate the rendering speed. However, if your video memory is less than 2 GB, then please keep it deactivated.
  • Load one Substance at a time:
    When you activate appearance editor for editing textures, you are actually loading a substance material for that object. However, each substance material consume a lot of system resources. Therefore, unless your system memory is higher than 2 GB, please keep this box activated.
