HD Materials and Textures

There are new contents in the Material Plus, Material and Textures libraries:

  • Material Plus: A totally gray material for character's entire body. It applies to the CC5 neutral base character by default.
  • Material: Provides materials for HD eyelashes.
  • Textures: Provides facial part masks, displacement, redness and topology textures.
    • Facial Part mask: These textures divide face to different ranges for modifications in SkinGen Editors.
    • Displacement Textures: The *.exr displacement maps are for Maya, Blender Cycle rendering, and ZBrush workflow.

      • One type of the displacement textures (*.exr) can be applied to the texture channels of head, body, arm and leg materials for sculpting and rendering in external 3D software.

        When using this type of texture, it is strongly recommended to deactivate the Realtime Displacement option to avoid any unexpected surface swelling issues on the model.

      • The others apply to the 3 channels for exporting to ZBrush for wrinkle processing.
    • Redness Texture: These textures can be used to blend redness details to the skin with Skin Gen Tools.
    • Topology Guideline: These images can be taken as references for textures-UV mapping procedures.
