Using MD Prop - T4 Portable Nodes

The MD Prop – T4 Portable node is used to make a character pick up (as described on this page) and put down an MD Prop using the motions embedded in the MD Prop.

Supported MD Props:

T4 Portable

  1. Create a project with a character and a T4 Portable MD prop.

  2. Open the MP Node Graph panel. Right-click on the viewport space and choose Motion Node > MD Prop - T4 Portable.

A new MD Prop - T4 Portable node will be inserted on view.
  3. Drag a flow line from the Start node’s output and connect it to the MD Prop - T4 Portable node’s input.

Note that you can also associate object and MP node with Pick from Scene method.
  4. Select the node and adjust the settings in the Attributes page.

    • MD Prop: Set the field to associate the node with the target MD Prop. If you use the dropper tool, click the waypoint marker (the flat disk with double arrows) instead of the model’s mesh.

Please also refer to the T4 Portable Nodes - Nearest, Random and Selected section for more information.
    • Character: Set the field to associate the node with the target character.
    • Motion: Select the desired motion to be triggered by the node when the flow proceeds to this node.
    • Interaction Point: Select the desired interaction point to trigger the embedded motions when the object is in hand.
    • Interruptible: When used together with a node from the Condition Node category, the motion driven by this node can be forcibly interrupted.
  5. Start the Go MD Mode to view the animation result.
  6. Add another T4 MD Prop for putting down the object in hand.
  7. Connect a new T4 node to have the character drop the object in hand. Set the MD Prop to the new MD Prop and the Motion to Put Down.
