For existing users of iClone, Character Creator or Cartoon Animator, take a look at the enhancements for Smart Content Manager in iClone 8, Character Creator 5 and 4, and Cartoon Animator 5.

  • Accessing Online Content: Connect to content server to get free resources or purchased assets, attach custom tags, search purchased online contents, and receive update notifications with the Pack View. As the installed content will be automatically distributed to their corresponding categories, you can easily locate the content without searching.
    ClosedNote:

    In order to sync with the online inventory, changes to the names, categories or file structure of the installed contents are not recommended.

  • Downloading Content: Except for a few embedded contents which are already installed with the program, users have to download and install additional free essential resources in the Pack View in order to experience the full features of the program.
  • Searching and Tagging: The search engine allows local content search by filtering file names, folder names, authors, tags and collections, and widens search scope to multiple drives where the contents are stored. Additional custom tags are also supported to facilitate your search.
  • Instant Purchase : Purchase individual packs, items, or Trial content directly in the program using DA Points.
  • Multiple Drive Access: Both template and custom contents can be stored in multiple drives, which allows flexible storage, viewing, sharing, transferring, and project collaboration among workgroup members.
  • Local Content Management:
    • Syncing with Windows File Explorer: The well-structured categories and intuitive folder view under the Custom tab synced with the file explorer help you to browse and organize contents systematically. The file status in file explorer can update to Content Manager automatically.
    • Smart Import and Auto Category: Custom content can be imported into corresponding categories automatically.
  • Packager for Content Publish: Create custom packs in the standalone Packager panel, virtually adding custom contents to the packs, and syncing with the original custom contents.
  • Exporting and Importing : Collections for template and custom content along with the content files for custom packs are exported and imported to other computers.
