Introducing the 2D Motion Key Editor (New for v4)

Closed Invoking the 2D Motion Key Editor

The body Key editor facilitates setting or key modifying in Motion related tracks, (the child tracks under the Motion clip track) by using a more intuitive and interactive interface. To invoke the 2D Motion Key Editor, you may:

  • Click the 2D Motion Key Editor button.
  • Double-click on the desired key in the T sub tracks, under the Motion track, to edit the existing key.
  • Double-click anywhere in the T sub tracks, under the Motion track, to initiate a new key.
ClosedUser Interface for G3, G3 360 and Free Bone Characters

In the Stage mode, G3, G3 360 and Free Bone characters' motion can be created by using the 2D Motion Key Editor.

Bone Views

  • You can switch to different modes, including the Image View and Hierarchy View, by clicking the tabs.
  • The structure of the bones and their locking status are displayed in the views.
  • You can select bones within these two views.

Bone Display Options

Press down this button to show the relevant controls that can be used to show or hide, set the color, re-size the width, and adjust the opacity of the bones.

Chain Activation

Use the box to turn on or off the Chain mode of Bones.

Flip Hip

Click this button to flip the character by mirroring the limb bones to the opposite side of the Hip bone.

Set Key Options

  • Setting keys for full body or selected body parts.
  • Reset the bone transformation for full body or selected body parts.

Menu (for Hierarchy View 0only)

Click this button to show the menu for the Motion Key Editor.

  • List View: Align all bones to the left side of the hierarchy view.
  • Hierarchy: To expand the entire tree view.
  • Collapse: To collapse the entire tree view.

Entry to Hand Pose Editor

Click this button to open the Hand Pose Editor for switching bone hand poses.

ClosedUser Interface for G1 and G2 Characters

1. Reset Sprite

Click this button to reset a transform key for the selected body part.

  • Because the transform keys from the Pose and Body modes are stored in the same tracks, you will need to switch to Body mode and then click this button if you want to reset transform keys made from the Pose mode.

2. Reset All

Click this button to reset the transform keys for all body parts under the current mode.

3. Default Pose

Click this button to reset the transform keys to all body parts. It is helpful when you want the character to return to the default pose.

4. Dummy Pane

In the Pose and the Body mode, you may select specific limbs or body parts for moving, scaling and rotating.

In the Face mode, you may select specific face features to be moved, scaled and rotated. This feature is for Sprite-based faces only.

In the Deform mode, you can select specific limbs or body parts to deform for a more dramatic motion effect.

5. Modes

Click these three buttons to switch to different modes for moving, scaling and rotating selected body parts or facial features.
